The Cathedral Cove Coast & Cave Tour lasts 2.5 hours.
The River & Waterways Cruise lasts 1.5 hours.

Your camera, a water bottle, some snacks if you like, and a jacket if the day is cloudy or a bit windy.

And a swimsuit + towel if you wish to go for a swim or snorkel.

There are plenty of free unrestricted time car parks by the entrance to Z Pier at the Whitianga Marina.

The vessel Mercury Star is boarded via ramps which are suitable for mobility access.

Either by purchasing online using the Book Now button on this site, or on board the vessel if there are spaces available – give us a call to check.

The boat departs from Pier Z10 in the Whitianga Marina. We can also pick you up from Ferry Landing Wharf by prior arrangement. Check the map shown HERE

Yes, you are welcome to bring food and refreshments. Tea, coffee, cold drinks, and some light refreshments are also available for purchase onboard.

There is one unisex toilet on board.

For the River Cruise: as both the river and waterways are situated in enclosed waters, the water will always be calm. However, in case of extreme rain, you will be contacted in the morning of the tour and will receive a full refund if you’re not able to reschedule your trip.

For the Cathedral Cove tour: As we travel through open waters in Mercury Bay we do have to consider the sea conditions. In case of adverse sea conditions or extreme rain, you will be contacted in the morning of the tour and will receive a full refund if you’re not able to reschedule your trip.
